Cook Islands lost 79-45 to South Africa in the quarterfinals of the Netball Youth World Cup in Gibraltar on Friday morning.
The only Pasifika team to advance into the top eight, the islanders could not match up to South Africa.
The other quarterfinals were also one-sided scores: England beat Scotland 64-33; New Zealand beat Malawi 67-34; and Australia defeated Jamaica 85-33.
In the semifinals, England will face New Zealand and Australia is up against South Africa.
Fiji and Samoa, meanwhile, both had wins in the playoffs for 9th through 16th placings.
Fiji defeated Gibraltar 61-31, and Samoa won the battle of the Polynesian teams, beating Tonga 62-46.
In the next lot of matches, Fiji and Samoa will battle each other in the semifinals for 9th-12th places.
Tonga will face Gibraltar in the next step for 13th-16th positions.
