Journalist and TV presenter Laura Tupou is our Fast Favourites guest this week. Although raised in Hamilton, she’s worked and lived all over Aotearoa, including teaching English in Poland and working as an au pair.
Tupou currently provides the weather forecast and updates on the 6 o’clock bulletin along with reporting with a focus on climate change and environment. Prior to this, Tupou was the weekend anchor for Newshub, a co-host on The Project NZ and previously worked at RNZ as a journalist. In 2022, she won the Voyager Media Award for Best Breaking News Video for the coverage of the Papatoetoe Cyclone.
