Tarras shows up to meet Christchurch Airport's planners

From Lately, 10:18 pm on 29 July 2020

Locals have packed out the Tarras Community Hall to hear about Christchurch Airport's proposal to build an airport in the town. Christchurch Airport shocked many in the region last week by announcing it has bought 750 hectares of farmland in Tarras, in the hopes of building a two-point-two kilometre jet-capable runway.

Central Otago District Council mayor Tim Cadogan speaks with Karyn Hay from the meeting.
