Severe rot and mould has been found in several buildings at Middlemore Hospital. One of the rotten buildings is the children's hospital and new documents reveal the decay is so bad it is in danger of breaching the walls and contaminating the air. RNZ reporter Jessie Chiang talked to people outside Middlemore hospital yesterday to find out what people thought of the findings, speaking first to a patient at the hospital. Morning Report has invited Counties-Manukau DHB management and Health Minister David Clark to come on the programme. The DHB when contacted again this morning hung up on us.. We'll keep going with this story and hopefully get some answers.
