8:10 Major fundraiser to upgrade Hato Hone St John ambulance stations

Hato Hone St John is an organisation we depend on, should the worst happen.

Many of us may be surprised to know that they depend on us also, for donations to keep the service funded.

Today is the organisation's 'Giving Day' with community-led fundraising events nationwide.

There's an ambitious $2 million target, with all funds going towards the upgrade or rebuild of 13 ageing ambulance stations.

Hato Hone St John Auckland District Operations Manager, Andy Everiss, and General Manager of Fundraising Leanne Tiscornia join Mark Leishman.
