Woolworths say potential plastic contamination of beef mince has forced a recall of products.
The 1kg and 500g packs of Woolworths branded 18 percent beef mince - dated best before 5/7/25 - have been recalled.
They were sold at Woolworths and Countdown stores in the North Island.
The supermarket advised customers not to eat the mince and return the products for a full refund.
Woolworths said there had been no reports of illness or injury but anyone with concerns after consuming the meat should seek medical advice.
There were no other beef products involved in the recall.
