Almost 25,000 litres of milk spilled across State Highway 2 in Bay of Plenty when a milk tanker rolled late on Tuesday night.
The accident happened just before 11.30pm, between Edgecumbe and Matatā, near the intersection with State Highway 34.
Fire and Emergency said no-one was trapped.
The highway remains closed.
