BNZ has cut some fixed home loan rates in anticipation of an OCR cut next week.
The bank said it was cutting its one-year fixed mortgage rate by 10 basis points to 4.79 percent, and its short-term, six-month fixed mortgage by 20 basis points to 5.09 percent.
The new rates were available for new customers, as well as existing customers who are in their rollover period or currently on variable rates, the bank said.
It comes after ANZ cut some of its rates earlier this week.
ANZ also cut its one-year fixed rate special to 4.79 percent.
The Reserve Bank was widely expected to cut the official cash rate by at least 25 basis points to 3 percent on 20 August.
