Police are trying to identify a man who died suddenly in Christchurch on Friday and have appealed for any information.
The man is thought to have been aged in his 30s or 40s, and had a distinctive birthmark on his left forearm.
He died on Friday in Horotane Valley Road and his death was not believed to be suspicious, they said.
"When located he was wearing a black long-sleeve woollen jersey, black trousers, and brown and grey tramping boots. Police also located a backpack with him."
On Friday, The Press reported that police were called to Horotane Valley Road at 4.30am Friday.
