Both lanes of State Highway 5 Napier Taupō Road have reopened after stock truck rolled earlier this afternoon.
One person was seriously hurt while police said there were also animals injured.
State Highway 5 between Old Taupō Coach and Palmer Roads was blocked but has since reopened in both directions.
A 50 km/h temporary speed limit will remain in place overnight through the site of the crash near Te Pōhue.
