With the Billy T showcase around the corner, ahead of next year's festival and competition, this year's winner is still revelling in his victory.
Hoani Hotene won for his show, It's Getting Hotene, So Tell Me All Your Jokes, joining the ranks alongside previous Māori winners Taika Waititi, Kura Forrester and of course the comedy legend William James Te Wehi Taitoko, better known as Billy T James.
The comedian has just returned from performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and joins Culture 101 as the Fast Favourites guest.
