Black Caps batter Devon Conway has been recalled to the national cricket side for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe and South Africa.
He will shortly join the T20 squad in Harare to replace the injured Finn Allen.
Also called in to the team are Jimmy Neesham, Mitch Hay, and Tim Robinson as cover for several key players involved in the upcoming American Major League Cricket tournament final.
Hay, Neesham and Robinson will join the squad as additional cover for Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra who are involved in the Major League final.
Black Caps head coach Rob Walter said he was feeling for Allen.
"I was looking forward to working with him and to see him continue his form from the Major League Cricket, but unfortunately, injuries happen."
The Black Caps play South Africa in their first Tri-Series match on Wednesday. The series will be broadcast live in New Zealand on ThreeNow.
